Choir and Strings

Students in Grades 4 - 6 may choose to participate in Beginning Choir or Strings as part of our “pull-out” music program. These classes are designed to help students grow as musicians, develop ensemble skills, and experience the joy of performing.

Class Structure

  • Students attend two sessions each week, each lasting at least 30 minutes.

  • Instruction takes place during the school day as a scheduled “pull-out” from their regular class.

  • Both programs focus on building musical skills, confidence, and stage presence.

Performances

  • Choir and Strings students perform several concerts during the school year.
  • These performances allow students to showcase what they’ve learned and share their music with family and friends.

Instruments

  • The Lincoln Unified School District provides instruments for Strings students whenever possible.
  • Students are expected to care for and return borrowed instruments in good condition.

Whether your child chooses to sing in the Choir or play in Strings, they will be part of a supportive musical community that values learning, creativity, and collaboration.
